Chris Martin was upstaged by his two children over the weekend (22-23Oct16) as they performed at a Boys and Girls Club fundraiser.

The Coldplay frontman featured on the bill for the Malibu, California event alongside Beck and Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith, but instead of playing his band's biggest hits for the crowd, he decided to invite the next generation of Martins to collaborate.

Video footage posted on social media shows Chris taking a seat at a piano as daughter Apple, 12, shows off her vocals on a cover of Ariana Grande's Just a Little Bit of Your Heart, while he switched to the guitar to play back up for his 10-year-old son Moses, as he sang House of Gold by Twenty One Pilots.

It's not the first time Apple and Moses have proved musical talent runs in their family - Chris previously allowed his kids to hit the stage with Coldplay at this summer's (16) Glastonbury festival in his native U.K., where they joined dad for the finale of Up & Up. Mum Gwyneth Paltrow, who is also known to hold a tune, captured the sweet family moment on camera as she watched the show from the side of the stage.

Chris and Gwyneth, who have remained close since their marriage split in 2014, have yet to comment on their children's latest stint in the spotlight, but the actress recently admitted pre-teen Apple is growing up to become one "super ballsy" girl.

"I actually don't need to encourage her to take risks," Gwyneth told Harper's Bazaar. "She likes to push herself; she wants to see how far she can get. It's really inspiring to see that in a young woman."
