This summer’s Willowman festival will play host to rising musical star Benjamin Francis Leftwich.

Hailing from York Benjamin’s distinctive singer songwriter style has caught the attention of national press and media.
With a Channel 4 documentary already under his belt Mr Leftwich will also be reaching a UK wide audience with his forthcoming appearance on Radio 1’s Live Lounge.

Presented by Fearne Cotton the Live Lounge has featured a huge range of premier acts who perform a mix of original material and cover versions. Recent high profile examples include Biffy Clyro and Mark Ronson.

The Willowman festival now in its third year will take place over the summer solstice opening its gates on the 21st June and running through to the 24th. Over 2500 people are expected to attend the event at Lenthor farm near the villages of Brompton and Osmotherley.

Benjamin is the latest name to be added to the Willowman line up which includes industry legends such as Hugh Cornwell and Neville Staples. Other emerging acts include Hyde and Beast, Woodenbox and Vintage Trouble.
Benjamin will perform on the Radio 1 live lounge on Friday the 24th February.
