Victoria Beckham reportedly decided to move back to the UK after "renewing" her friendship with Mel C and Emma Bunton.

The fashion designer and her husband David Beckham have been looking at properties over the last few months, since David announced he is leaving his team LA Galaxy. Although they are yet to make an official announcement, it's been claimed the couple and their four children have actually already moved to London. David has been spotted taking his sons to school, with the family said to be renting a property near the plush Notting Hill district.

Victoria and her former Spice Girls bandmates Emma and Mel have seen a lot of each other over the last year as they performed at the London 2012 Olympic Games closing ceremony, along with Geri Halliwell and Mel B. The fivesome also attended the premiere of a musical based on their songs called Viva Forever!

"Her renewed friendship with the girls has played a massive part in her move home," an insider told Heat magazine. "They are a great support network. She's also looking forward to spending more time with her mum Jackie and sister Louise. They're so happy she's back and they can see the kids more often."

Emma has already gone on record saying how great it is that Victoria is back, as now they can meet up more.

It was apparently the singer-turned-designer who encouraged the family to settle in the city, rather than in their lavish country pile dubbed Beckingham Palace.

"Victoria never really liked that house and she wanted somewhere new," the source explained. "She also really wants the kids to be familiar with London. It will also be the first time Victoria is close to the offices of her fashion line, which are based in Battersea."
