Taylor Swift confirmed that she is on good terms with Michael J. Fox.
The Back to the Future actor joked about the potential for the songstress to make a breakup song about his son Sam if they dated.
Taylor has had a string of high-profile relationships with celebrities like John Mayer and most recently One Direction’s Harry Styles, and she is known for penning tunes about her romances.
Apparently Taylor doesn’t have a problem with Michael’s headline generating statements.
“Hey everybody, Michael J. Fox got in touch with me today and we are good. Thank you for having my back.” she wrote to over 23 million of her Twitter followers on Friday.
Michael is father to 23-year-old son Sam, who was this year’s Mr. Golden Globe.
"I don't keep up with it at all," he told New York Magazine’s Vulture earlier this week.
"Taylor Swift writes songs about everybody she goes out with, right? What a way to build a career.
"I wouldn't even know who she was [if she sat at the dinner table],” he envisioned.
"[And then I’d hear the song], Sam, You Piece of S**t. Oh… that was the girl you brought home!"
