Lady Gaga has reportedly been spotted backstage at Britain's Glastonbury Festival, sparking rumours of a surprise onstage appearance.

The Poker Face singer reportedly flew into the Worthy Farm site in Somerset, England on Thursday (23Jun16) and has been spotted hanging out behind the famous Pyramid stage, causing speculation she could be performing.

According to Britain's The Sun newspaper, Gaga is rumoured to be playing a secret DJ set in the festival's Shangri-La area with her pal and collaborator Mark Ronson.

“She was clocked by a few people but she kept a low profile," a source said. “She’s been saying to Mark for ages that she wanted to come to Glastonbury again... Mark is playing officially in the early hours of Sunday morning but they are trying to make another set work because she is due back in the States to meet the Dalai Lama on Sunday.”

Lady Gaga is due to appear alongside the spiritual leader for an onstage conversation at the U.S. Conference of Mayors annual meeting in Indianapolis, Indiana on Sunday (26Jun16).

She has been working with the Uptown Funk producer on the follow-up to her 2013 album ARTPOP and the pair recently teamed up to perform a cover of the Talking Heads' 1983 hit Burning Down The House at an afterparty at the Met Ball in May (16).

Mark told Britain's Evening Standard newspaper in January (16), "We worked together in London... I think she’s incredibly talented and kind of a muso at heart beyond all the giant pop hits. I would love to work some more with her - she’s an incredible singer/songwriter.”

Mark is playing the Shangri-La area with Tame Impala frontman Kevin Parker, who is also thought to be working on material with the pair.

Gaga isn't the only one rumoured to be making an appearance - speculation is rife that Rihanna will perform with Coldplay on Sunday (26Jun16) as she is currently in the U.K. on her ANTI World Tour.
