Niall Horan's new Los Angeles home is reportedly haunted by the ghost of actress Gia Scala.

The 22-year-old One Direction singer splashed out on a $3.9 million (£3 million) mansion in the Californian city last December (15), but has yet to move in as the property is undergoing extensive renovations.

But now one of the house's former residents, Jack Krane, who grew up there, has revealed he always felt the presence of The Guns of Navarone star Gia there, following the actress' death in one of the bedrooms after a suspected overdose in 1972.

"I always asked if someone died in one of these houses, and my parents said no," Jack told Britain's The Sun newspaper. "I have always felt something strange.

"That house is haunted, for sure. I’ve had a few ghost stories over there. It’s creepy."

Despite Gia's death being officially listed as being due to an overdose of alcohol and sleeping tablets, there is still some mystery surrounding her passing, following claims she was found naked, with blood on her pillow and bruises all over her body.

Meanwhile, regardless of the haunting claims, Niall's new abode is the epitome of luxury. It has five bedrooms, six bathrooms, a rooftop deck and an outdoor swimming pool, as well as a grand piano in the living room for the singer to work on some tunes.

"Niall loves the house and his offer went through at the end of last year," a source told the publication. "It’s got everything he needs and isn’t too flashy.

"The place is a construction site at the moment as he is having a lot of work done before he moves in."

Niall also owns a property in London, England, and is believed to be spending the majority of his time there while the work is undertaken on his LA home.
