Thankfully, it looks like this is just the beginning of what’s to come from Marisa Maino.

Marisa told Music News: "I wrote this song about a year ago, and at the time it started out as a music connection gone wrong. Sometimes people who have been in the industry for a while get into the habit of treating artists like pawns. I kind of sat back and realized that this is my career and I don't have to do things I don't want to."

"Right before I cut Boy Toy, I had just gone through a breakup. I was able to channel that energy to get a pretty bad ass girl anthem, in my opinion."
