Music-News.com caught up with 'the Captain' - Gregory Bell - of the energetic Ceilidh Liberation Front for a quick chat aboard the Cutty Sark during the Shanty Sessions. Click above for the full uncut interview.

The Ceilidh Liberation Front is London’s most radical, and most colourful ceilidh band. Subverting and converting the world with their energetic new ceilidh regime, they breathe vigour and vitality into the traditional ceilidh, whilst honouring its roots and traditions.

London’s most innovative folk club started a new season of Shanty Sessions, exploring our rich maritime history through music, song and dance on the decks of Cutty Sark.

The evening featured some of the most exciting nautically minded folk bands in the UK inc Lisa Knapp, Norfolk Broads, Matthew Crampton & The London Lubbers, City Shanty Band, Emily Mae Winters and culminated in a ceilidh with the Ceilidh Liberation Front!

This event programme was part of a wider series of events & festivals at Royal Museums Greenwich, celebrating the folklore and traditions of our maritime heritage.
