Thursday, October 5 at Radio City Music Hall, British rock band Glass Animals had a killer performance complete with nonstop dancing, a huge colorful stage, and a pineapple-shaped disco ball. Glass Animals is currently touring the US, promoting their 2016 sophomore album  How to Be a Human Being and will head to other counties such as Mexico and Australia after they finish in the US.

The English indie rock band walked on to the stage to “Pre-made Sandwiches” with set pieces lighting up at different times to illuminate the four band members. Throughout the entire performance it was clear that they enjoyed performing - the whole night consisted of jamming out with other members, interacting with the excited crowd, jumping around dancing and climbing/jumping off of set pieces.

While Glass Animals opened with 3 fan favorites - “Life Itself,” “Black Mambo,” and “Hazey,” I felt that “This Side of Paradise” was the best performance. The crowd was hyped and the build up to the beat drop and chorus was masterfully done - causing me to play the song on repeat on my way home.

Other songs performed were from both How to Be a Human Being and their freshman album Zaba. Crowd favorites included “Season 2 Episode 3” and “Gooey” which had the audience standing, dancing and singing the entire time.

I can't talk about this concert without mentioning the wild set! Everything was lit up and timed to the music, with fun set pieces including a glowing TV, a big light up G and A, and of course, the pineapple shaped disco ball. By the end of the show, it was clear that Glass Animals gave that performance their all. Closing out their set with “Pork Soda” (during the encore) the crowd went wild, ending on a Glass Animals high. If you get the chance to see them in concert, I would highly recommend it as they put everything they have into their performance, with their infectious energy making it fun for all.
