Adele reveals that she won’t pen new songs until she's "got something to sing about."

The 24-year-old British crooner just picked up an Oscar for her James Bond theme song Skyfall.

Adele’s 2011 album 21 won a Grammy Award for Album of the Year and numerous other accolades.

Both fans and critics are eager for the songstress, who gave birth to her first son in October of last year, to release new music.

Adele says she’s just as keen as hearing her new music as everyone else is.

She just doesn’t know what to write about at the moment.

“Tell me about it, so am I,” she told British newspaper the Daily Mail in response to a statement that people are “desperate” to listen to new songs from her.

“They’ll come when they’re ready, and when I’ve got something to sing about.”

Following her win at the Academy Awards, Adele is concentrated on “having some laughs.”

It is rumoured that Hollywood producers are scrambling to sign the singer on a documentary contract.

After the Oscars ceremony Sunday night Adele said: “Maybe I’ll do a HBO special like Beyoncé [Knowles] did.”

Executives believe scoring a documentary with notoriously private Adele would be incredibly profitable.

“As soon as Adele said she could be interested in a show, TV producers were compiling suggestions,” a source told British newspaper The Mirror earlier this week.

“This will be a major coup for anyone to get. Adele hasn’t done any major interviews for a long time.

"She has never spoken in depth about her relationship with partner Simon Konecki or the birth of her son Angelo.”
