A Bon Jovi show scheduled for the Taipei World Trade Center Nangang Exhibition Hall for Monday night has been cancelled due to the impending landfall of Typhoon Dujuan.

This has not been a great tour of the Pacific basin by the band as their shows in China were cancelled by the government without a specific reason although there have been rumors that it may be due to the band’s support of the Dalai Lama. Now the first of two shows in Taipei, their first in Taiwan in twenty years, was cancelled and the second one, on Tuesday night, was also in danger even though, as of this writing, it was still on.

Typhoon Dujuan is predicted to make landfall in northern Taiwan on Monday night with the weather affected for hours before that time. The Taipei City has already ordered schools and offices to close all day Monday.

Bon Jovi is already in Taipei, so they will be riding out the storm with the rest of the inhabitants.
