Chris Brown says he needs to “stop playing” with girlfriend Karrueche Tran.
The 25-year-old singer began dating Karrueche in the wake of his split from on-and-off girlfriend Rihanna, who he was convicted of assaulting in 2009.
And Chris took a moment on Wednesday to pay tribute to the beauty for standing by him through some of his worst moments, hinting he’s keen to settle down.
“@karrueche damn near 5 years and this woman still putting up with my sh*t,” Chris captioned an Instagram photo of Karrueche.
“Need to have this baby and stop playing! Lol! My WCW,” he wrote, referencing the social media acronym for Woman Crush Wednesday.
The pair are said to have patched things up recently following reports of a split back in March, and again in August, according to MailOnline.
And sources now say Chris is determined not to mess things up again with his girlfriend, although it’s uncertain just how far he will go.
“He knows what Karrueche wants, he’s not stupid,” the insider told HollywoodLife, explaining, “He really doesn’t want to make a commitment and then somehow mess it up and break her heart.”
Chris and Karrueche meanwhile seemed loved up as ever, and were spotted enjoying dinner together in New York City on Tuesday.
Last month Karrueche appeared on a US talk show to discuss her romance with Chris, and confessed being linked to a celebrity does have its challenges.
“I've never dated a celebrity before so it was very new to me, paparazzi and all that," she told Keke Palmer. “And then, even the situation with Rihanna, you know the reason why people turned into this so much was because it's relatable. I have girlfriends, I have family who's gone through the same situation. It's the case of the ex. We all go through it, [but] in this case my boyfriend is a celebrity whose ex-girlfriend is an even bigger [celebrity]."
