Kelly Clarkson is going to frame a fax she received from Dolly Parton.

The 32-year-old Grammy-winning songstress is hosting her inaugural Miracle on Broadway benefit concert in Nashville on Saturday.

And while sourcing talent for the show, Kelly contacted music icon Dolly to see if she would be interested in singing with her.

"I told [husband Brandon Blackstock] one of my favourite Christmas songs of all time was Hard Candy Christmas and he said, 'Well, why don't you call Dolly and see if she'll come sing it with you?' I was like 'Oh sure, I'll just randomly call the Queen of Country Music and see if she'll come sing with me!'" People magazine quotes Kelly as recalling during a press conference held in Tennessee this week.

"Dolly doesn't email. She faxes! I don't think I've ever gotten a fax before. She couldn't do it on such short notice, but I have a fax from Dolly Parton! I'm having it framed and it's going on the wall. She said she'd love to come next year."

Kelly managed to book great talent for Miracle on Broadway despite Dolly being unavailable. Garth Brooks, Kix Brooks, Ronnie Dunn, Charles Esten, Hayley Williams, Martina McBride, Kacey Musgraves, Reba McEntire and Meghan Trainor will be performing this weekend.

Miracle on Broadway benefits several Nashville area non-profits, including The Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital, Second Harvest Food Bank, Thistle Farms and Monroe Harding Children’s Home.
