Hilary Duff is elated to be releasing her latest “labour of love” through a new record label.

The 26-year-old actress-and-singer has been working on her fifth studio album for quite some time.

And on Wednesday Hilary announced to fans her new EP will be released with RCA Records in the fall.

"I couldn't be more excited to join the RCA family! I love my team there and feel so lucky to be in the company of their talented artists,” she stated in a press release issued to ET Online.

“I came to them with my vision for the album and it has been a real labour of love, but something I am so proud of.”

The first single from her latest offering is entitled Chasing the Sun and will reach listeners on July 29, with the music video premiering on VEVO the same day.

“Chasing the Sun is just a peek into my new album,” she noted. "Chasing The Sun is a light and fun summer song that I hope helps people to feel a little more carefree."

Hilary is mother to two-year-old son Luca with her estranged husband, hockey player Mike Comrie.

She admits her fifth album is incredibly special to her, as the songstress put a lot of effort into every tune.

"I took a break from music for quite awhile, but it gave me the power to choose my next steps carefully and I'm really proud of the album I've made," Hilary said. “I've worked very hard and the album is a great representation of the experiences I've had in my life and where I want to go from here!"
