Gwyneth Paltrow reportedly feels betrayed by Chris Martin and Kate Hudson's blossoming romance.
The Coldplay frontman and Kate were linked after being spotted hanging out at a beach recently with their kids.
Gwyneth considered Kate a friend, but now sources say she's hurt by the romance rumours.
"Gwyneth feels like this is a betrayal. She and Kate used to be very close, but their friendship has cooled in recent years. To see Kate and Chris getting on so well is hard for her," a source told British magazine Grazia.
"Kate and Chris have always had a great relationship and there's definitely chemistry between them now. Kate is relaxed and easy-going, which Chris loves, while Kate's really into her music - she's a sucker for a musician. They enjoy spending time together. "
Chris and Gwyneth, who have children Apple and Moses, split up just over a year ago, in a move they called "consciously uncoupling". Since then they've both been linked to new partners; Chris with Jennifer Lawrence and Gwyneth with Glee co-creator Brad Falchuk.
Kate's been single since splitting with Muse rocker Matt Bellamy in December, with whom she has son Bingham with. She's also mother to Ryder from her marriage to The Black Crowes singer Chris Robinson.
The situation with Chris is reportedly further complicated as she shares the same crowd of friends as Gwyneth.
"Gwyneth is devastated that Chris is spending so much time with someone she once considered a good friend. It's not lost on her that they all used to hang out together, and Kate and Gwyneth have mutual friends like Stella McCartney and Liv Tyler, so there's a lot of tension in the circle right now," the source said.
