Jennifer Lopez had “such a princess moment” while performing her new track on American Idol.

The 45-year-old stepped out from behind her judges desk on Thursday night to perform her new song Feel the Light from her latest movie Home. Jennifer wore a flowing white gown which covered most of the stage and had special effects and images of the film's animated characters projected on to it. The singer was thrilled with the entire performance and admits she had goosebumps throughout.

“I was like, 'This is such a moment.' It was such a princess moment. I remember writing my whole team that night. I was like, 'Thank you for making this little girl be [a] princess for a day.' That's how it felt like,” she told Access Hollywood. “It was a projection. It just came together so beautifully. I couldn't have asked for more. It's a vision I had for a long time but the way it came together, was even more than I imagined."

Jennifer spoke at the premiere of the new film, which also features the voices of fellow singer Rihanna and The Big Bang Theory star Jim Parsons. The Jenny from the Block singer brought her seven-year-old twins Max and Emme along to the screening but the children were keen to head inside to take their seats.

“They were a little bit overwhelmed with all the people,” she explained to the outlet.

However her offspring did linger long enough to share a moment with their mom’s co-star Rihanna. The 27-year-old made sure to chat with the youngsters and even compared their beautiful mother to a well known Disney character.

“Isn't that beautiful? She looks like a princess. She kinda looks like Elsa [from Frozen]," she said.
