Kanye West thinks speaking his truth “literally breaks the Internet”.

The 37-year-old Stronger rapper-and-producer has been cited as one of the most influential people in the annual TIME 100 magazine issue.

And during the accompanying interview with TIME, Kanye shared some insights into how he is impacting the world.

“Every time I break the Internet it's like this little drop of truth—every time I say something that's extremely truthful, out loud, it literally breaks the Internet,” the hip hop star noted.

Kanye shares 22-month-old daughter North West with his wife Kim Kardashian.

Now that he’s a father the musician takes his stature in life very seriously.

"I think there's school teachers that are the exact same mission as me. I think there's police officers with the exact same mission as me: just help,” Kanye said. “I don't care about having a legacy, I don't care about being remembered. The most important thing to me is while I'm here, while we're having fun, while we're going to sleep and breathing oxygen and living life and falling in love and having pain and joy is what can I do with my voice?

“Our focus needs to be less about what our legacy is going to be or how we can control each other, but more about how we can gift each other."

Other people included on TIME 100’s most influential list this year are Taylor Swift, Emma Watson, Kevin Hart, Amy Schumer, Julianne Moore, Alexander Wang and Bradley Cooper among others.
