Kanye West has reportedly bought his daughter North a diamond tiara for Christmas.
The rapper and his wife Kim Kardashian are parents to 18-month-old North, who Kim insisted they try not to spoil last week. It seems the couple have relaxed that approach for the festive season, with Kanye apparently determined to make it a special one for their tot.
"He went totally OTT and bought her a diamond-encrusted tiara, so when she plays dress-up, she'll be a real princess," an insider laughed to British magazine Heat. "He's hoping she'll treasure it for all of her childhood years. It's probably worth about £50k at least."
On top of that he's said to have splashed out $15,000 on a mini replica of his black SUV so North can have fun driving around.
Kim can expect Christmas presents of designer clothes and jewellery on the big day, while she has thought carefully about what to get him too.
"Kim wanted to give Kanye a painting of her. It was being done by some famous artist. But I don't think she was able to do enough sittings for it. So last week, she bought a big piece of art at Art Basel [art fair] in Miami. I'm not sure what it's of - she's trying to keep it a secret - but she's saying it's an amazing up-and-coming artist, who Kanye thinks is hot," the source said.
"Kim can only gift Kanye very limited-edition things. She can't walk into a store and buy him something, as Kanye will only wear or own things that are unique. She's also got him a chain, which will have an inscription from North."
The couple also want to treat their staff, with claims Kim has been offering certificates for Botox. It's thought most of those who work for her have politely turned the gift down.
Kim, Kanye and North are thought to be spending Christmas with her family in Los Angeles, with her mom Kris known for throwing an extravagant bash on December 24. It's been claimed Kanye was initially hoping they could start their own traditions away from the rest of the Kardashian clan, perhaps in New York.
Kim was not said to be pleased though, so placated her new husband by offering to fly his father and some friends to the west coast first class. She's also suggested a vacation for the three of them to Hawaii on December 26, which is said to have gone down well.
In all the publication estimates the couple will be spending $472,580 to have the festive season of their dreams.
