Kate Moss reportedly can't get her head around how her marriage has crumbled.

The supermodel and her musician husband Jamie Hince split up last month after four years of marriage. Neither has confirmed the reason behind their parting ways and their breakup came out of the blue for fans. It seems Kate is struggling to come to terms with it herself, too.

"Kate's hurting but relieved in a way that their friends now know how bad things have got - now she just wants to sort things out," a source told British magazine Closer.

"Jamie's been spending time with friends, saying he can't handle all the rows any longer. Kate still loves Jamie and can't get her head around how they have ended up in such a bad place. They would like to make their relationship work again but it might be too late."

July 1 marked the couple's fourth wedding anniversary, which they spent apart, before The Kills guitarist Jamie flew out to America to tour. Kate is said to have wanted more time with her spouse to talk things through and even try to salvage their marriage.

"Kate's friends worry the cracks in their relationship could be beyond repair and have told her to prepare herself for the worst," the insider added. "He still has all his stuff at her house..."

Jamie isn't the first music star Kate has been involved with; before trying the knot with him in 2011, she dated The Libertines frontman Pete Doherty. She has her daughter Lila, 12, with her ex-boyfriend, journalist Jefferson Hack.
