Kendall Jenner and Rita Ora have reportedly “remained close friends” over the years.
The 24-year-old British singer dated Kendall’s half-brother Rob Kardashian for several months, with the pair experiencing a bitter breakup in 2012.
But even though Rob’s split from Rita was dramatic, his supermodel little sister was seen socialising with the I Will Never Let You Down songstress at amfAR’s Cinema Against AIDS Gala in Cannes earlier this week.
“Kendall does not care what Rob thinks about her and Rita hanging out!” a source told Radar Online. “Kendall and Rita were actually close friends when she was dating Rob and have remained friends ever since.”
Three years ago, Rob publicly accused his ex of cheating on him with “nearly 20 dudes” during a vile rant on Twitter he has since deleted.
But Kendall has supposedly maintained an open mind about the rift.
“Kendall never took sides in the breakup because her and Rob were never really all that close growing up,” the insider noted.
“She loves her brother but does not love the choices that he made for his life.”
Keeping Up with the Kardashian star Rob has been mired in controversy over the past few years. Most recently he dissed his older sister Kim in a scathing Instagram post.
“This is my sister kim , the b***h from Gone Girl,,, (sic),” he wrote last March in a caption attached to an image of Rosamund Pike in character as Amy Dunne, a psychopathic, murderous persona.
Recent reports suggest Rob is suffering from depression. The reality star has gained an estimated 40lbs of weight and now rarely leaves the home belonging to his sister Khloé Kardashian, which is where he now lives.
