Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s daughter has taken her first steps.
The couple, who wed in a lavish Italian ceremony in May, welcomed their first child, North, in June 2013.
And the proud momma couldn’t help but take to Instagram Wednesday evening, revealing the 13-month-old tyke has just started walking.
“Our baby girl finished one week of swimming lessons today then took her 1st steps right when she got out of the pool!!!! Mommy & Daddy are so proud of you!!!!” Kim captioned the image, adding that the photo credit went to “Daddy”.
The snap, taken of course by Kanye, shows Kim planting a kiss on their little girl’s cheek while North is bundled up in a towel, her face barely seen.
It also follows on the heels of reports the couple have gone to drastic measures to protect their daughter from aggressive photographers, including hiring a body double.
"Kim and Kanye hired the look-a-like to shield North from the paparazzi. There were auditions held in LA at a specialist agency. In the end they found a child who is spitting image of their daughter," a source told British magazine Grazia last week.
The couple are allegedly splashing out $855,500 a year on the doppelganger. But apparently that’s not all.
"They also hired a body-double nanny, who they hope will really throw the paps off the scent," the insider said.
