Kylie Jenner has reportedly been "pouring herself" into her new music.

The Keeping Up with the Kardashians star has long shown an interest in becoming a singer after realising she didn't want to follow in her sister Kendall's footsteps and become a model. She has enjoyed vocal coaching from Tim Carter, who has worked with the likes of Willow Smith and Beyoncé Knowles, and apparently the effects couldn't be better.

"Kylie is excited and nervous about showing off her talents,” a source told RadarOnline. “She has really been pouring herself into her music and has had several vocal lessons now."

Kylie and Willow are good friends, which could be why the reality TV star has been working with Tim. Apparently Willow is very taken with her pal's skills on the microphone and has been giving the 17-year-old tips on how to kick start her career.

Kylie is thought to be interested in writing her own lyrics and music, rather than simply being a pop star. It's thought channelling her life experiences has helped her come up with some meaningful songs. She has a lot to deal with at the moment, as her mother Kris Jenner filed for divorce from her dad Bruce earlier this month.

"The girl can really, really sing," the insider said. "Not only can she sing, but she is also starting to write her own stuff and is a pretty good songwriter!”

Earlier in the month it was claimed Kylie is hoping to become the next Katy Perry and is already working on her first single.

The star's family are all said to support her decision to make it in music, with her mom doing all she can to help her.
