Lyrics & Music written by : Joe Julian Farrugia (lyrics) Miriam Christine (music)

What message does your song give?
This is a sad ballad which reflects all the inner struggles, thoughts, hopelessness, wishes, turmoil that prison inmates go through whilst serving their sentence behind bars.

Do you like to compete in Festivals? Why/Why Not?:
We believe that Festivals are a great medium to put a song out there for the public to get to know and enjoy. If surrounded by the right team, a festival can also be a very enjoyable experience.

This Festival supports our native tongue. Do you prefer to sing in Maltese, English or another language?
We like to sing in both languages, so long as the song has a significant message conveyed. We do feel however that there is a need for songs in the Maltese language, and that is why we are planning to work on a project together, starting with this Festival.

Which is your favourite Maltese Song of all time?:
There are so many great Maltese songs with beautiful melodies that it's very hard to mention one. We both admire singer Doreen Galea for her amazing natural voice and technique.

And your favourite International Song of all time?:
Again, very hard to narrow it down to just one song. I think that we both grew up loving Whitney Houston's songs though, so it's only fair to mention her as one of our most loved artists.

Who inspires you as an Artist?:
We are very inspired by soul, RnB, funk and blues music. Just give us any artist singing in any language and about anything so long as they are true to themselves and their music, and we are in music heaven.

Would you share highlights from your music career during the last 12 months? :
Olivia triumphed in first place with the song 'Hawn mill-gdid' at the return of the Festival Kanzunetta Maltija. Miriam Christine also participated in this Festival and won the Best interpretation award, and was also a semifinalist at the MESC 2014.

What are your goals in music ? :
All we would like is to be true to ourselves and our music, and to instill feeling in all those who listen to our songs.

How much time per day do you spend on your music career ? :
Not as much as we would love to! We are both busy with our teaching careers too. But we make sure to dedicate a few evenings a week to our music.

If you had to choose another Artist to duet with, who would that be and why?
Whitney Houston or Jennifer Hudson.... Two of the greatest voices the world has ever seen.

Do you have a message for the Music News Malta followers ? :
Thank you so much for your continuous love and support. You keep us energized to continue working on what we love most.... Music.
