Lakefest 2014 offers acts chance to play

This year Lakefest has launched a brand new and exciting competition for unsigned or upcoming bands.

Taking the form of an “Online Battle of the Bands”, the competition showcases local artists as they take to YouTube to compete for a spot on stage at Lakefest 2014.

Videos of all acts can be viewed via the Lakefest YouTube channel here

Likes on each video will be counted as votes. A handful of the ‘most liked’ will go through to a live final where they will battle for a place at the festival in front of a panel of three judges.

The band that wins the competition will be guaranteed a spot on stage at Lakefest 2014.

Lakefest is a family-friendly Gloucestershire Festival and this year’s headliners include SNAP!, Lee ‘Scratch’ Perry, Fun Lovin’ Criminals, Lightning Seeds, Buzzcocks, Bad Shepherds, Shed Seven, Neville Staple, Dr. And the Medics.
