Lily Allen's husband Sam Cooper is said to be feeling miserable at the moment.

The British singer quit the limelight after she and Sam got hitched in 2011, and they both got settled into family life after the birth of their daughters Marine and Ethel.

Last year Lily attempted a return to pop with album Sheezus. While it was met with mixed reviews, it marked a return to the party scene for the singer.

"There is talk that Sam is miserable right now. He's been back at home for months, while Lily has been jet-setting and partying around the world. He likes the quiet life and that is what they both had when they first married. But now Lily's back to her old ways and her behaviour has been increasingly erratic," a source told British magazine Grazia.

While Lily is prolific on social media, Sam rarely appears in her posts. The pair also haven't been pictured together since mid-July.

And after Lily collapsed at Glastonbury Festival in June, Sam has apparently laid down some ground rules.

"Sam seems to have made it clear that he needs Lily to slow down. He seems fed up and friends are worried that it's driving them apart," the insider commented.

Another concern for friends is Lily's cryptic social media posts, including her documenting a recent sleep over she had with friend Benjamin Garrett.

The 30-year-old also remains close to her ex Seb Chew.

"Seb has even been known to fly out and meet Lily when she's partying abroad," the source said.
