Lorde thinks her life is “so wild right now”.

The 17-year-old New Zealander reached international fame after the release of her debut album Pure Heroine, which won her two Grammy Awards this year.

And Lorde is appreciative of her success, as she is now enjoying the opportunity to explore fascinating cultures around the world.

“Living in New Zealand, you don’t get these experiences. I spent so much time in my room before,” she explained in Teen Vogue’s May 2014 issue.

“My life is so wild right now. For me to be able to do something I really enjoy and for that to get me out in the world—to South America, to here, to London—every day I kick myself, I’m so lucky.”

While she is jet-setting, Lorde likes to maintain communication with her fans.

The Royals songstress believes social media networking is the perfect way to stay in touch.

“I like Twitter because it’s a good direct link to people. You just reach out to someone you like and say, ‘Follow me please, and then we can talk.’ I really like Instagram as well. It’s a good one, very simple. I’m also on Facebook and Tumblr,” she shared.

Lorde has been touring around the world performing for eager listeners.

And she is chuffed to learn a peer she respects attended one of her recent concerts.

“Hilary Duff? Are you freaking serious? Hilary Duff was there last night? This is what dreams are made of!” Lorde gushed, before asking, “Was she vibing it? Was she bobbing her head?”
