Meghan Trainor has had to cancel more concerts following an ongoing throat problem.

The Lips Are Movin singer revealed last week that she was suffering from a hemorrhage on her vocal cords. She had to cancel shows in Atlantic City and Connecticut but on Monday she announced that further dates would have to be postponed.

“I have bad news, my doctor says I have to postpone two more dates, Detroit & Chicago and sadly I have to cancel my appearance at the Common Ground Music Festival.” she wrote on Instagram. “But there is good news!! I’m feeling much better, have already rescheduled most dates and will come back around to see you all soon!! (sic)”.

The 21-year-old is the latest in a line of stars who have suffered from the same problem, including British singers Sam Smith and Adele. She has kept her fans updated on her progress, having been to see a doctor in New York to try and resolve the problem as quickly as possible.

While Meghan is clearly disappointed to cancel more shows and let her fans down, she seems pleased with the efforts her medical team have been putting in.

“Thank you Dr. Kessler for seeing me immediately and being so helpful and thank you guys for all the edits/get well posts you made,” she continued. “You made me feel a lot better about this crappy situation. I love you all so much!!(sic)”.

The star then added a list of rescheduled performances at the end of her message alongside a black and white photo of her looking pensive while chatting to her doctor.
