Miley Cyrus wants “dumb a**es” to stop scaring her fans with lies.

The 21-year-old pop star was hospitalised Wednesday after suffering a severe allergic reaction to antibiotics, forcing her to cancel dates on her Bangerz Tour.

But Miley says a number of media outlets ran with sensationalised reports that couldn’t be further from the truth.
She addressed the issue in a Twitter rant on Thursday.

“So many ignorant stories out there no one is reading the official statement and these dumb a**es are scaring my fans. Please read official [statement],” she wrote, demanding, “Shut the f**k up & let me heal. stop scaring my family, friends, & fans ,” (sic).

The star included a screen grab of a note from her smartphone, including the “official statement” about her illness from her rep.

“Miley was suffering from a sinus infection during her tour. She was prescribed the antibiotic Cephalexin which she’s now suffered an extreme allergic reaction to. This type of extreme reaction can last from five to 27 days in these types of cases. She will remain hospitalised and is under a doctor’s care until we see some improvement in her condition and is asking for your compassion and privacy at this time. Miley is devastated about missing shows and possibly disappointing her fans,” the statement read in full.

Miley has kept fans up to date on her condition via social media.

She admitted earlier on Thursday she couldn’t “quit crying” and felt terrible about letting concertgoers down.

“i wanna go back on tour. im meant to be onstage performing for y'all.... not laying in a hospital bed (sic)," she tweeted her nearly 18 million followers.

Miley was next scheduled to play in Nashville, Tennessee on Friday.

However, it was unclear at press time when the tour would resume.
