Modest Mouse release first album in eight years

Modest Mouse last released the album ‘We Were Dead Before The Ship Even Sank’ in 2007. The new album Strangers To Ourselves will be released in February.

Modest Mouse surprised fans last weekend when a small group were sent a test-pressing 7-inch of the new single ‘Lampshades On Fire’. The single now has a general release.

The band resurrected a few months back for the Governors Ball in New York and also played Reading, Leeds and Sasquatch. A rarities album was also released in 2009.

‘Strangers To Ourselves’ will be released on February 27, 2015.
