In recent months, there has been a lot of talk about the return of Ira Losco to the local music scene with a brand new studio album entitled The Fire set for release at the end of March. Critics who have heard the teasers released by the female artist are enthralled to see that she is indeed evolving musically whilst taking up brand new challenges that could potentially win her a legion of new fans. Her summer release, What I'd Give which was also used as a debut single off the upcoming record was met with several accolades, including Best Video at the recent Malta Music Awards but surely, there is more to come with her latest single release, The Person I Am.
Ira Losco, who represented Malta at the 2002 Eurovision Song Contest held in Tallinn, Estonia has taken up a brand new image to help support her latest music releases and it seems that the crowd is enjoying every bit of the comeback. Her sophomore single, The Person I Am is extremely personal and delves into the emotions of the performer in a manner in which they have never been seen before. She is not the only artist in this track though, because it also features the vocals of David Leguesse. The first performance, and the debut of this track took place at the Malta Music Awards, and the reception was extremely positive. Such a response has caused Ira to take to Facebook and Twitter, to thank her devoted fans stating The Excitement to Release is out of this World.
