Nick Jonas is excited about seeing women sprawl out over monster-truck tires.

The 22-year-old is preparing to release the music video for his new single Levels, which debuts on Sunday, the same day the MTV VMAs take place.

And Nick absolutely loved the way director Colin Tilley shot the promo, as images of scenes continue to replay in his mind.

“The concept for the video — basically, we are in this big space, lot of really interesting art decoration, some tires, some barrels, some beautiful women,” the singer told MTV News.

Nick really appreciates the direction the Levels music promo is taking him in.

The video has helped him truly envision his aesthetic flavour as a creative, at least in terms of how he’d like to be marketed visually.

“It continues to set me up as a solo artist,” Nick noted. “It gives me a better idea of the looks I’m trying to go for. I want people to think when they watch my videos and music. I’m excited. I think it’s going to be one of my strongest videos.”

The actual track itself is also posing as a creative awakening for Nick.

The star believes he is blossoming into the type of musician he’s always dreamed of and he hopes fans also sense his development while listening to Levels.

“Like the song kind of cuts a new path for me, musically, it touches some of the soul elements, but also has that funk side,” Nick explained. “I think the video means that as well, really fresh.”

The former Jonas Brothers member will be singing Levels for the first time at the MTV VMAs pre-show. He is also up for an award at this year’s ceremony, having received a nomination in the Best Male Video category for his single Chains.
