Billboard yesterday culminated the 11th annual Billboard Touring Conference & Awards with a ceremony honoring the concert industry's top artists, venues and professionals of the year.

Among the winners, One Direction was recognized as the Top Tour, Radio City Music Hall took honors as the top venue under 10,000 seats, and Modest! Management was named Top Manager. The event capped off the two-day Billboard Touring Conference and took place at The Edison Ballroom in New York City, hosted by comic Ralphie May.

The Touring Awards honors top achievers in the touring world each year in categories like Top Tour, Top Boxscore, Top Draw, Breakthrough, Top Package and Top Festival. The awards are largely based on Billboard’s Boxscore chart data, which tracks gate receipts for concerts, comedy shows and other live events, and real box office performance, from October 1, 2013 to September 30, 2014. The Legend of Live, Circle, Humanitarian and Concert Marketing Awards are exceptions.

The event also honored live entertainment industry titans such as Ron Delsener, who took home the first-ever Golden Circle Award, Bob Benjamin and the Light of Day Foundation for the Humanitarian Award winner and Lionel Richie, who was honored as a “Legend of Live,” Billboard’s highest accolade in the touring space honoring individuals or bands who have made significant and lasting contributions to live music and the touring industry.

“Live entertainment was booming this year, and we were excited to honor this year’s best,” says Ray Waddell, Billboard’s Executive Director of Content and Programming for Touring and Live Entertainment. “The excellence that we celebrated last night is as inspiring as it is inventive”
