Miley Cyrus reportedly broke up with Patrick Schwarzenegger because of his indiscreet date.
The 22-year-old singer and her 21-year-old former beau are alleged to have split last weekend.
However, a new report has emerged claiming that while the pair were apparently happy not to be monogamous in their open relationship, it was Patrick’s “indiscreet” date with actress Bella Thorne that led to the end of their romance.
“The deal was that when they were apart, they could see other people as long as it was discreet,” a source told America’s OK! Magazine.
Bella and Patrick were photographed heading out to dinner earlier this month. The redheaded actress also posted shots of herself with Patrick on her Instagram page, insisting in the caption that the pair are “just friends”.
However, the dinner date was apparently the last straw for Miley.
“Patrick totally screwed up with his Bella date,” the source added. “Miley was furious about it.”
Following reports of the pair’s split, Miley has been seen out and about looking in good spirits.
However, despite her brave front, the insider said Miley is torn up about the end of her romance with Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver’s son.
“Miley still really likes Patrick,” the source added. “But she totally regrets her open relationship stance though. She gave him an inch and he took a mile.”
As well as Patrick’s evening out with Bella, the heartthrob was also seen getting up close to another girl during a holiday in Mexico.
But Patrick insisted that the lady was the girlfriend of one of his friends, and added on Twitter: “Would NEVER do anything against my GF.....”
