Gwen Stefani jokes all her paparazzi shots make up the family photo album.

The blonde songstress is one of the most recognisable women on the planet, and therefore often finds waiting paps wherever she goes.

Gwen's the proud mom to three sons, Kingston, Zuma and Apollo, with husband Gavin Rossdale and finds her family are often snapped too.

"Even though they are really annoying, it's really nice having all these family photos!" Gwen laughed to the British edition of Hello! magazine. "No, of course people moan about that stuff but if the attention was taken away a lot of people would be like, 'Oh my God, suddenly people don't care. What am I going to do?'

"You kind of get used to it and it depends on the day. But if I need to leave the house then I put on lipstick."

Gwen first shot to fame as part of singing group No Doubt in the mid '90s, and has spent most of her adult years in the limelight.

While she loves what she does, the 44-year-old does admit there's a downside to being in the public eye. However she has ways of coping with this.

"By realising what is real are the people who are around me - who I love and who loves me and who I deal with on a daily basis. Everything outside of that is just fantasy land," she explained.

Despite the fact her A-list status is nothing new, Gwen confesses to finding it jarring that people see her as an inspiration.

As well as a successful singing career, she's also a respected designer and launched her label L.A.M.B in 2004.

"It's crazy. I guess I'm getting used to the idea of being an inspiration. I never saw myself as that person, so when I hear that I'm inspiring, I feel guilty. I'm that same person form high school who happened to get lucky," she smiled.
