Taylor Swift has reportedly been tangled in a lawsuit filed by her former chauffeur.
The 24-year-old country music singer is named in a suit filed in a Manhattan court by APG Security, according to the New York Post’s gossip column PageSix.
The company reportedly claims it was hired as a contractor by Taylor’s management firm Firefly Entertainment back in June before being abruptly fired and left with the bill the following month.
Firefly’s director of security Ryan Malutinok sent an APG employee a “list of issues” the company “was supposed to ‘remedy as soon as possible”, according to filings obtained by the outlet.
The issues reportedly included “provisions APG was supposed to have in the vehicle when transporting Ms. Swift” and “under what circumstances they could speak to her”.
Taylor also requested two additional vehicles wait outside of her downtown Manhattan apartment, costing approximately $2,000 a month, according to the claim.
APG states employees leased the Chevy Suburban SUVs at the firm’s request only to find Firefly had cancelled their contract July 22.
They claim the company has refused to reimburse them for their losses as a result.
Damages being sought in the suit were unclear at press time.
A spokesperson for Taylor had not immediately commented on the claims.
