Meghan Trainor "trash talks" her opponents at bowling.

The pretty singer is unlikely to be short of admirers since hitting the music scene with number-one smash All About That Bass.

And potential suitors don't even need to dream up an exotic date for the 21-year-old - a simple night of bowling is enough to win her heart. However, they do need to be prepared for her competitive streak.

“Coolest date I’ve ever been on: The guy set up a night of bowling. We didn’t have bumpers, so I had to pick up my game. He won. He didn’t even try to be polite and let the girl win. But I got a strike and he didn’t, so I felt like I won, you know?” she laughed to the US edition of Marie Claire magazine.

“I trash talk. Like, ‘Better prepare yourself; I’m about to destroy you.’”

It's no surprise Meghan is so into bowling; she and her family always made a big day out of the activity. But even back then she had some stiff competition.

"My older brother was always the best—he’s very athletic. My younger brother wasn’t the greatest, so I was right there in the middle. I was good sometimes," she admitted.

Proving she's no one-hit wonder, Meghan has entertained her fans with follow-up singles Lips Are Movin and Dear Future Husband. The latter was branded anti-feminist by many, thanks to lyrics that see Meghan promise she'll "buy the groceries" as long as her husband provides flowers and takes her on dates.

But the criticism leaves Meghan cold.

“Just surprised the random places people are asking me if I was being sexist,” she told MTV News. “But no, I don’t believe I was. I think I was just writing my song to my future husband out there, wherever he is. He’s chilling right now, taking a minute getting ready for me; it’s going to be great.”
