PBS has just confirmed two foreign guests that will perform during the Malta Eurovision Song Contest.

Maria Yaremchuk will be representing Ukraine at the Eurovision Song Contest in Copenhagen in May. She will perform her up tempo pop song called Tick-Tock. The song won both the jury votes and the public voting during the national selection which was held just before Christmas in Kiev, Ukraine. A total of 20 acts battled for the golden ticket to Copenhagen.

Maria is only twenty years old. She is a songwriter and has received her first title of the “Voice of Ukraine” (Holos Ukrayiny) at the age of six. In 2012 she placed fourth in the “Voice” – Ukraine and won the third place at the “New Wave” contest where she received the largest amount of awards.

Maria will be taking the Malta Eurovision stage on Friday 7th February during the semi-final where fourteen contestants will make it to the final evening.


The Swiss broadcasters will hold their national final on Saturday 1st February in the Bodensee Arena in Kreuzlingen. The winner will be selected from a combination of 50/50 televoting and expert jury and will earn a ticket to Denmark as well as the opportunity to perform during the Maltese National Selection on Saturday 8th February. The six Swiss hopefuls are:
