Yoko Ono and Sonic Youth spearheads Thurston Moore and Kim Gordon announce a collaborative album.

Pitchfork reports that following their ‘Early In The Morning’ benefit single yesterday, they’ll put together a six-track album.

Moore and Gordon ended their 27-year marriage last year but it doesn’t seem to have stopped their creative collaboration.

‘Early In The Morning’ is a 14-minute track released digitally and the profits will go toward building a Rainbow House in the tsunami-affected Tohoku region of Japan.

It will also feature on the album YOKOKIMTHURSTON alongside ‘I Missed You Listening’, ‘Running The Risk’, ‘I Never Told You, Did I?’, ‘Mirror Mirror’ and ‘Let’s Get There’. YOKOKIMTHURSTON will be released on September 24 through Chimera Music.
