Bobby Womack plays 'Dayglo Reflection' featuring Lana Del Rey

Bobby Womack previews his new album by airing a collaboration with Lana Del Rey – ‘Dayglo Reflection’.

Womack is barely out of the woods after undergoing surgery for recently diagnosed colon cancer, which was conducted last week.

But the soul great is doing his best to live up to the title of his forthcoming album The Bravest Man In The Universe but forging forth and previewing a tune which features the Born To Die starlet Lana Del Rey.

‘Dayglo Reflection’ certainly has trip-hop overtures, and Del Rey only adds to the eerie vibe (especially with a faltering warble at the three-and-a-half minute mark).

The album was co-produced by Damon Albarn (with whom Womack worked on Gorillaz) and Richard Russell, and recorded at Albarn’s studio at the end of 2011. It’s his first album of new material since 1994.
