Pearl Jam former management charged with theft

A former financial officer with Pearl Jam’s management has been charged with stealing $380,000 from the band.

SeattlePI reports that Rickey Charles Goodrich, former chief financial officer for Curtis Management, stole $380,000 from the band between 2006 and 2010.

Prosecutors say that Goodrich has transferred money from company accounts to pay debts and also used the band credit cards at hotels, restaurants, iTunes, Amazon.com, and to buy airline tickets.

Goodrich initially claimed the transfers were “loans” and repaid $55,000, but has admitted to owing $300,000 to Curtis Management. He was also allegedly involved in managing the band’s touring company and their Ten Club fanclub.

He is expected to appear in Seattle’s King County Superior Court on June 28 in to enter an initial plea to 25 counts of first-degree theft and eight counts of second-degree theft.
