Third Man Records just keep giving, with the latest Vault offer including vinyl of the first White Stripes show.

The Vault series continues with some more gems this month. The last issue included two unreleased Raconteurs songs, a Karen Elson live record, and a White Stripes live DVD from New Zealand back in 2000. Before that, it was unreleased alternate versions of White Stripes songs, a tee-shirt, and a poster.

For their thirteenth entry, it’s another special item: live recordings of the first ever White Stripes performance and proper show back in 1997.

The open mic night performance was recorded at the Gold Dollar in Detroit, featuring ‘St. James Infirmary’, ‘Jimmy the Exploder’ and ‘Love Potion #9’ pressed on red 7-inch vinyl.

The first proper performance was a month later at the same venue, and includes ‘Screwdriver’, ‘Lafayette Blues’, and a cover of The Stooges’ ‘TV Eye’ and will be pressed on white 12-inch vinyl.

And for good measure, record club members also get a ‘peppermint’ design tote bag.
