Columbia Records and Bob Dylan have announced that 35th studio album, Tempest, will be released on September 11.

It's his first non-holiday studio album since 2009's Together Through Life.

Dylan has been on a creative roll for the last fifteen years, releasing four of his most highly acclaimed albums with Time Out of Mind (1997), Love and Theft (2001), Modern Times (2006), Together Through Life (2009) and now Tempest. Mind won the Grammy for Album of the Year and sold 2.5 million copies to become one of Dylan's biggest albums while Love and Theft won Best Contemporary Folk Album.

Also during the timeframe, Dylan was given the Oscar and Golden Globe for the song Things Have Changed from Wonder Boys, the Pulitzer Prize in 2008, French Commandeur des Arts et des Lettres in 1990, Sweden’s Polar Music Award in 2000 and several Doctorates including the University of St. Andrews and Princeton University as well as numerous other honors.

Pre-orders are available now on iTunes and Amazon. More information will be coming in the next month.
