When I was a young girl a fell in love with his voice, the stories he told, they way he would sing about love stories with such pain and anger and confusion; That’s also how I saw him as an Artist that knew how to write and sing about love.

Now a bit more grown up and having to actually face my inner self on a daily basis , I’ve discovered by continuing to listen to him that those won’t just love song. They are life stories, stories about love but also friendship and more than anything about us, our individual, our dark sides, our self doubts, our dreams, our disappointments, our fears.

And No one can tell those stories better than him.

In spite of the 9 years of absence, Damien Rice returned with an outstanding beginning.

Once again he proved to be Ireland's most finest and genuine artist.

It was one of the most intense and magical gigs of the year: he made you laugh , he made you cry, he gave you goose bumps , he made you sing, he made you think, he made you dream , he made you hope. He did all of that by just singing , chatting and playing with his good old guitar , on one of the most historical and famous stages in London.

Every song , every lyric had its meaning and he played as if that was the last gig of his life.

“It’s so hard to speak when there’s no line..” Thats Damien for you, theres no extras, no makeup, no sketches, no outfit change over, no pauses

Simply music, a voice and a thousand stories.

My personal favourites were “delicate”, “volcano”, “ my favourite faded fantasy”, “colour me in”,
