Dialogue is one of the latest signings to New Playaz, the incubator label for the prestigious Real Playaz, owned by DJ Hype and Pascal Redpath. We caught up with Dialogue (aka Ollie Gallagher) to find out about his latest release, X Factor, being a dad and how DJ Hazard influenced his work.

MUSIC NEWS: How does it feel to be part of New Playaz?
Dialogue: Great, I am honoured to be part of New Playaz as Playaz/Ganja was such a huge influence on my decision to start producing dnb. It’s got to be a good thing going forward there’s some strong new producers set to release on there.

MUSIC NEWS: Hazard was obviously a big influence on your career and you share a hometown. What do you think of his latest EP?
Dialogue: I know its cliché but Hazard is the producer i look up to, his sound has become so organic and he has always been ridiculous consistent. As for the 'Bricks Don't Roll' Ep it was yet again a game changer.... all about ‘Death Sport’ for me!

MUSIC NEWS: What has been your gig of the year so far?
Dialogue: Gig of the year has to be either Switch in Vienna or Cityflow Festival in Belgium.

MUSIC NEWS: What dnb track would you put into a time capsule for future generations?
Dialogue: ‘Death Sport’ or ‘Platinum Shadows’ (Hazard)

MUSIC NEWS: Where does the name 'Dialogue' come from?
Dialogue: I was originally called DJ Ollie and as you know that name is already taken, I was in a history lesson at school and the word Dialogue just struck me and i took it!

MUSIC NEWS: What's in the pipeline for you?
Dialogue: Honestly, my first son was born on September 6th so i am just settling in to dad life at the moment. I am still working hard in the studio and hope to be back on Playaz/New Playaz very soon!!

MUSIC NEWS: You recently tweeted about X Factor. Who do you reckon would win in a real fight between Mel B and Cheryl?
Without a doubt Mel B, she is nuts! (not that I watch the X Factor or anything.)
