The stage was set on a beautiful summers evening for the opening Eden session of 2014. After a Luke warm set from the Mercury music prize nominated Katy B, Dizzee was introduced by his Dj and Mc who joined him on stage. Dizzee then bounded on stage shouting expletives to get the crowd going, seemingly to the surprise of the many parents of small children, though to be fair, what did they expect?!, Sadly the crowd could have been bigger, as neither of these chart topping acts had the ability to fill the venue to its full capacity.

The set started with 'Here to China' followed by a number of his well known back catalogue hits including 'Fix up look sharp', 'Sirens' and 'Holiday' as well as the well known 'You've got the love'. During probably his best known track 'Just a Rascal' from his debut album 'Boy in Da Corner', Dizzee had to stop the performance half way through to break up a fight which had broken out in the crowd, asking security guards not to eject them and just to split them up, much to the delight of the heckling onlookers.

The high energy London based artist kept the fans on their feet with their arms in the air for whole of his 90 minute set. After leaving the stage Dizzie returned saying "only joking " and ended his energetic performance with an extended version of his chart topping "Bonkers' aided by a spectacular display of fireworks , streamers , smoke cannons and ticker tape !

Of the remaining gigs from this years sessions, Ellie Goulding has sold out. But there are, somewhat bafflingly, tickets still available for the Pixies on July 9th, so If you live in or are visiting Cornwall next week, treat yourself to a ticket for them, they still play with all the raw power and passion they had 25 years ago. Elbow have sold out one night but again , tickets remain for their 15th July Gig.
