Formed by drummer/producer Audrey Tait and Scottish battle rap champion Louie, Hector Bizerk have an insatiable desire to experiment with noise, colour, rhythm and rhyme.

Their live show has become something of a cultural phenomenon. The show includes Fraser Sneddon on bass, Dace Calder on synth and percussion as well as elements of live visual art, b-boying and improvisation. Hector Bizerk is a celebration of modern hip hop culture with a very Scottish twist, combining frontman Louie’s razor sharp poetry with incredible tribal rhythms and grooving funk basslines. The live show is a crescendo of thought-provoking music that encapsulates audiences.

In 2014 the band made their US debut, won the Scottish Alternative Music Award, headlined at Wickerman Festival and drummer, Audrey was confirmed as one of the top ten female drummers in the world by Hit Like A Girl competition. They played well over 100 shows in the UK and Ireland and their critically acclaimed album Nobody Seen Nothing was nominated for Scottish Album of The Year.

Hector Bizerk have shared bills with some of the biggest names in hip hop including Public Enemy, Jurassic 5, De La Soul and Immortal Technique.

The band is steeped in multi-faceted creativity having recently premiered a short film, The Bird That Never Flew, published a book of Louie’s poetry and are currently scoring the soundtrack to a play about the troubled life of cancan dancer and mental health sufferer, Jane Avril.
