Favourite food: chicken; chips; bread

Sports activity: Football, football and football

Favourite local TV show: It’s not an actual show but I try never to miss the evening news. I don’t watch much TV

and favourite Foreign TV show: I watch a lot of series seasons and my latest favourite has to be Gotham.

How important is music to you/why: Since my career started quite a while ago, music has been the most integral part of it! It’s the best form of expression for me and hopefully the one I can express myself better in.

Can you share with us something curious/funny which happened to you when performing: Once whilst I was in a concert, I was performing a song by the Blues Brothers and the mic was on a stand. Inadvertently I hit the mic and it flew off the stage on to the audience together with the whole stand. Fortunately no one was hurt and the person in the audience came and even gave me the mic back to continue the song! The mic was still working, although I did get some ugly looks from the sound person who was the mic owner! 

From the current Konkors Kanzunetta Indipendenza Festival 2015 finalists, who would you choose to duet with/why: that would be the other Refalo in the contest... Joseph. He’s a down to earth guy and has a really nice voice. He also has a nice surname 

A typical weekday for you from morning to night: There’s no typical day in my life and that’s what I like most about it. Apart from having to wake up every day at 5:45am to go to work in Valletta and finishing round 3pm, the evenings are always different with either rehearsals, concerts or other related activities.

How do you like to spend your weekends: When I’m not working in weddings or other singing activities, I love to spend weekends in a relaxed manner with my beautiful wife Sarah usually sipping some red wine or watching a nice movie.

Do you think Malta should send a Konkors Kanzunetta Indipendenza Festival winner to represent Malta at Eurovision one year and why/why not: No I don’t think that the 2 festivals are in any way related. One is in Maltese while the other is in English and everyone knows that music-wise, the two are not very similar. The nice thing about the KKI is that it has its own identity and the fact that it is organised open air every year which makes it that bit more special.

Your musical influences: Your inspiration in life: Freddie Mercury (Queen) he’s my inspiration both vocally and stage-wise. He was such a great performer and the world has lost a true genius too early.

A message to the our readers?: I would like to thank all readers for all their support during all these years. It is you who keep us going and all our hard work is for you to enjoy. Thanks to all!
