Your favourite international singer and song?: Beyonce- Listen
Your favourite local singer and song? Ira Losco – What I’d Give

How long have you been involved in music?: I took my first singing lessons at Ms. Marvic Lewis at the age of 5. At age of 7 todate at the Voice Academy Malta directed by Mr. Ivan De Gabriele. With Mr. Degabriele I worked more on professional singing techniques.
During this period I partaciatied in various local festivals in which I achieved a lot of awards and winnings. Lately I participated in the “Volare Festival” in Romania where I won 1st place. I am also a folk singer with ‘Il-Qamha’ where we entertain tourists and Maltese people around the island. I had also several opportunities to sing live with orchestras like the Valletta Ensemble with Mr. Valhmor Montfort, the Pinto Youth Band with Assistant Maestro Roderick Bugeja and the Pinto Brass Band with Maestro Dominic Darmanin.
This year I was offered to sing an “innu marc “ dedicated to St Sebastian – “Lewn Bastjaniz” composed by Reno Cassar & written by John Saliba, which I really enjoyed singing it and working with great people.
I’m Iove with drama as well and so musicals are my favorites. I auditioned for two musicals in which I was given the main part. Carmen in Maltese language (here where I met my author and composer) and last May Mamma Mia where I performed the part of Donna.
What are your goals in music ? : My goals in Music are to study singing abroad & create my own songs. Infact I have been invited with other students from the Voice Accedemy Malta to attend a professional master class in London at the Tech Music School (BIMM – London). I am really looking forward for this great opportunity.

Do you have a standard routine before performing?: Vocal training before each performance.

What’s your opinion regarding the music industry in Malta? : While we have a lot of good talent I cannot understand why it’s very hard to succeed internationally. I mean to see Maltese songs and singers in the top charts. While on the other hand kids are doing a lot of success abroad.

Do you believe in collaborations? Who would you duet with? I believe that a singer needs to collaborate with professional producers which are very limit in Malta. My dream is to duet with Ira Losco.

How would you celebrate if you win Konkors Kanzunetta Indipendenza Junior 2014?: I’m very spontaneous and just don’t know….maybe I cry maybe I scream…. At the moment I am appreciating the thing that I am in the finals with a good song and competing with other good songs and singers as well.

Your Message to Music News Malta followers?: First I hope that the message of the song is understood by all the youngsters and of course if you like my song please support me with televoting 52302049.
