The UK may well have just found what it has been longing for!
Wonder boy, Tigger Da Author hailing from south-east London, has recently been taken under the rapper Sway’s wing as he has signed him to his very own organic label ‘Dcypha’. Since the signing he has toured with Example, jumped on the track ‘Still Sway & Kane’ with Sway and Kano and racked up over 100,000 YouTube views and all within a few weeks!
The 23-year-old singer/rapper has an authentic style with an eclectic, soulful sound that is infused with jazz and blues and works beautifully on his debut single 'P.O.W.E.R'. His hard-hitting lyrics accompanied with the raw fractious visuals in the video makes for a perfect combination. Although some may compare him to others in the music industry, he really stands apart from many of his contemporaries as his talent is unworldly. His conscious track highlights how excessive power can lead to havoc and demolition which is a devastating theory but when converted into song is also a beautiful thing. It shows that good produce can actually grow from something that is bad!
And here is a bit of background for you all. According to IMC Magazine, the young gent actually stumbled upon his fate on an occasion where he pulled a sickie at his call centre job and joined his friend at a writing session with pop sensations Little Mix. He may have made the best decision of his life as this is where he bumped into rap prodigy Sway and it all kicked off from there!
In a recent interview that Music News had with Sway he said, ‘I am one to plug, but I am not just saying this to plug, there’s a new artist signed on the label that I found and he goes by the name of Tigger Da Author, he is an incredible singer and rapper'.
Tigger Da Author has it all going on… unworldly talent, a new track out with Sway and Kano and an EP called ‘Evilution’ on its way; it seems like the only way is up for this guy!
