Stornoway are excited to announce the Royal Albert Hall, London for 30th March 2026, in celebration of their 20th anniversary. Entitled ‘A Journey From Sea To Summit’ the show promises to be unique, bringing their passion for conservation to the fore with an immersive night in nature, alongside special guests.

Brian Briggs from Stornoway comments:

"The Royal Albert Hall? It’s a dream come true! What an honour and a privilege it will be to perform at the country’s most esteemed venue. We will be celebrating our 20th Anniversary with the most special and unique show we’ve ever done, including some very special guests and songs from our career so far. We are going to bring the outside inside, filling the hall with nature, taking you on a wild, musical journey from the open sea through marshes, woodlands and up into the mountains."

2023 saw the beloved UK folk-pop band return from a 6 year hiatus with acclaimed, chart topping album ‘Dig The Mountain!’, alongside a sold out UK tour, heartwarming festival performances (“… a major Glastonbury moment”-The Independent), and an overwhelming welcome back from their fans and beyond.

During their original run, Stornoway achieved immense critical acclaim and success with two Top 20 albums ‘Beachcomber’s Windowsill’ (certified silver) and ‘Tales From Terra Firma’. In 2016 they announced that they were ending on a high, with the 2015’s ‘Bonxie’ being “their best album yet” according to The Guardian. They still earned new fans, however, when their version of ‘The Only Way Is Up’ exceeded 2 million streams after being used in an advert and various TV shows. Vocalist/guitarist Brian Briggs took a break from songwriting to pursue a career passion managing a wetland for water voles and lapwings.

Most recently the band released a limited-edition album, ‘Best Of Unplucked’, featuring their much loved acoustic recordings made in sheds, barns, and even a studio made from hay bales, taken from their career to date. The ‘Unplucked’ concept originated from their performances in spectacular, epic and windswept locations, playing carefully chosen, special arrangements of their songs almost entirely unamplified, demonstrating their passion for conservation by encouraging others to reconnect with nature.
